Thirteen Things That Make Me Smile 1. When my Geek says, "I love you." It's like a magnet above my head pulling up on the corners of my mouth. I can't not smile when he utters those words. It's physically impossible. 2. Sweet Girl's elfin voice. 3. Big sloppy puppy kisses. 4. Kitties purring and kneading. 5. English country flower gardens. The kind where the flowers are planted seemingly randomly and so close together that their heads look like teenage girls at a rock concert trying to get close enough to the stage to touch the feet of the rock star. 6. Deep blue skies scattered with fat, white clouds. 7. Genuine hugs from people whom I love and trust. 8. Other people smiling. It's contagious! 9. Blog posts by Blond Girl, Jeana, and HolyMama. They are witty, funny, charming and always make me smile...except on the rare occasion when they make me cry...but that's not necessarily a bad thing...not all the time...I'll stop now. 10. Traipsing around on the weedy lot where our house will one day be built, breathing in the fresh country air. 11. Old-fashioned chick novels like Pride and Prejudice or Anne of Green Gables. 12. My Geek's impish grin. 13. And of course, Thursday Thirteen! Links to other Thursday Thirteens!
