“When anybody asks, 'What are you writing about now?' if I try to reply, the book-in-the-works sounds so idiotic to me that I think, 'Why am I trying to write that puerile junk?' So now I give up; if I could talk about it, I wouldn't have to write it."
- Madeleine L'Engle, A Circle of Quiet

Thimble Thursdays

Thursday, December 27, 2007

As I mentioned before, I’m trying out a new format for my blog posts. Each day of the week will have its own theme. This week, I’m defining each day’s theme, and next week I’ll start posting according to this format.

In keeping with my cheesy “same first letter” rule, Thursdays are going to be “Thimble Thursdays”, and they’re are all about crafty things. They may or may not be crafts that actually require a thimble. Beading, crocheting, sewing, papercrafts, etc. are all fair game on Thursdays. I may show off projects I have undertaken myself, or I may link to a favorite website or a project that impressed me.

I haven’t talked a whole lot about my crafty side on this blog – at least not that I recall – but I do love to make pretty things, and I think this may encourage me to start doing some of the projects I would like to do instead of just looking longingly on the pretty pieces of things that have never been completed. Hopefully you’ll get something out of it too.
