“When anybody asks, 'What are you writing about now?' if I try to reply, the book-in-the-works sounds so idiotic to me that I think, 'Why am I trying to write that puerile junk?' So now I give up; if I could talk about it, I wouldn't have to write it."
- Madeleine L'Engle, A Circle of Quiet

And They're Off!

Saturday, November 01, 2008

NaNoWriMo's servers must be seriously overloaded tonight, which is no big surprise considering it's the first day and everyone and their cousin is trying to get themselves signed up at the last minute for 2008.

So I managed to upload my word count, but I'm too impatient to try to get one of those fancy dancy little word counters for my sidebar. I did get off to a good start though with 1758 words – just over 1/30th of the way to 50,000!
